Tough job following Dean Smith, but he still went to two final fours in three years.

Three years - two Final Fours - one ACC championship - 80-28 record - 1998 national coach of the year.

Aside from Vince Carter and Antwan Jamison, part of BG's success came from Brooklyn point guard Ed Cota.

Brian Mahoney couldn't close on Cota back in 95-96 with PG being his most glaring need.

Cota finished his UNC career with 1,000+ points and 1,000+ assists.
