I'm sure they will do something special for him prior to their game against us on Saturday. To any redmen.com people who are going (I know we have a few who live in that general area), a full report on this would be appreciated.

This one really touches me. One of my closest friends at SJU, and one the the most passionate Redmen fans of all time, passed away from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma at 28. Some of you on here knew him.

I know all too well how this disease can steal a young man's life, and how the pain really never goes away for his loved ones.

Even as the entire Butler community grieves, my prayers go to his family. Friends will move on with their lives, but especially for his parents, his loss will pain them every day.

Saturday was also "Stay Positive Day" at Butler, a campaign to raise awareness of Smith's condition with St. John's wearing Stay Positive shirts in warmups.
