Nice job by St. John’s honoring die-hard fan and alum Derek “DSPN” Southerland, who tragically passed away last April. Southerland wasn’t just a basketball fan, he rooted for everything St. John’s. The school remembered Southerland with a touching video and moment of silence before the opening tip. Classy.

And they still haven't found one person on campus to cut up a 5-10 second highlight clip before announcing it, so it can actually be fun/make the crowd notice. I find it very hard to believe between undergrads on campus, graduate students on campus, grad assistants in the athletic department and paid professionals, not one individual person can manage to do that & find space during the game.
Thankfully, both were mentioned on television.
Stop trolling me, I'm already in enough hot water here as it is.
