Public Service Announcement Concerning the November 8th Game and LIRR Riders

Careful, most lots at LIRR stations are not owned by the MTA and at some stations, spots are a mixture of town, village or MTA.

For instance, parking at Garden City is for Village Residents with Permits and you need either a Garden City Village Resident or a Non- Resident permit to park at the Nassau Blvd. Or Stewart Manor LIRR Stations

Thanks, Train Guy! (You're right, of course - some of the villages are potential problems).

Thanks, wasn’t sure if Mineola was somewhere to also try and park there. Trying to figure out best for parking.
Mineola will probably be a zoo with the buses that will be used between Hicksville and Mineola even though they have the parking lot at the station and one a few blocks away.

You can still park at Hicksville but you would then have to take one of the shuttle buses provided to Hicksville.

Yeah, i live in Stewart Manor, yet can not park at the train station since it is Garden City.

Ya my best option is to just drive to Massapequa or Wantagh. Train is about the same time from Penn and my 18-20 minute drive to the train is only double my 10 minute ride to Hicksville.

Planning on driving down to the Babylon station. Anyone know if it’s a big parking lot and if a town permit is needed on the weekends. Appreciate any info. Thanks.

Or Stewart Manor LIRR Stations
Wasn't like that in my earlier years . . . but then I parked there to go to museum with daughter when she was young and came back to a parking ticket. On top of the massive speeding ticket I got in the Hamptons getting to the Stewart Manor station, I think it turned into a $600 trip to the Museum of Natural History 😖

So yes, listen to SJU85 on this. Keep an eye out for the signs in the actual lots.

If you opt to commute to the Hempstead line you should at least have a seat until you get to Jamaica. I've been gone a long time though so not sure if every Hempstead train changes at Jamaica on weekends. If they make you switch to a different train there, hopefully you don't get squashed -- or at least not as badly as we are going to squash Alabama. Good luck to all!

You can absolutely park at Garden City train station or Nassau Blvd on the weekends whether you live in GC or not. I live a few blocks from Nassau blvd station.

95% of the time I take Mineola to games but barring any Adelphi President driving shitfaced onto the tracks at Nassau Blvd again I will be taking that line.

Sorry forgot to say “allegedly shitfaced.”

On Saturday, Hempstead Branch trains are running one an hour and are terminating at Grand Central Madison. As LJSA said you will have to change at Jamaica for Penn Station.

Babylon is a paid lot even on the weekends I believe. It’s only a quarter an hour though and there’s parking at the station and down Locust Ave by the Hibernian hall and baseball fields. It’s those machines you put your space number in and then pay. Lindenhurst has lots right by the station that are free on the weekends.
