Providence, Thur. Dec. 28, 7p, YES, 570AM

This one is shaping to be close to a must win game. Providence is struggling and has injuries to key players. Our next two games are on the road at Seton Hall and Creighton. If we lose against Providence, we absolutely must win one of those two, or else face the daunting situation of beginning the Big East schedule 0-3.

I don't think it's a "must-win" but this is a game we should win. Getting LoVett back would be huge. Crowd should be big and into it. Looking forward to it.

Great to see this game is already sold out. Only 4 single tickets left on ticketmaster.

We need CA to sell out for all 6 big east games this year.

And people need to show up to Nova - Saturday night game at MSG no excuses!!

Must win. If we can take them both games plus Gtown and Depaul this really helps us if we split some others

After going to the Garden and the BE Tourney twice and seeing us lay eggs against this school, I want nothing else but to beat them (see the egg reference) at CA!!

I can't wait for this game. Feel like Carnesecca is going to be an awesome atmosphere.

Can't be there because of winter break... those who are going please make some noise.

we are trending upward while PC is trending downward, so a home loss here would be pretty devastating in my opinion, for our tournament hopes

Providence will probably be healthier than they currently are. A game we should win but if we lose it just means we need to go 9-9 (including Duke game) rest of the way. We are 12 games in and so far have won every game we were favored in. That's something very few teams have done, so if we lose vs #55 Providence I'll be disappointed but I'm not going to freak out and declare it end of the season like a lot of people here would do.

Excited to go!

Nice Mr. P - discusses their players Cartwright, Diallo, Holt, Lindsay and White having various injuries - but injured players or not - let's just take the PC game! :D

Do we think/know if Lovett will return?

For any of the LoVett injury skeptics, I hope you watched the Providence game against Houston (which they lost) and Sacred Heart. Cooley had a couple important players listed as questionable with injuries and they didn't start. He ended up putting them in the game when they started to lose early and they did not look good. They were clearly limping and hobbling on the court. Fortunately for us this bodes well as they can't improve while they play. I'm glad the staff has kept LoVett out to let him fully heal.

I'm asking Santa to keep Providence hobbling until 12/30/17 (added 1 day for 'snow' / Nor'easter possibility!).

I watched that game after our win.The Friars have height but their guards did not hit their outside shots. Bullock had an excellent game , Ahmed or Clark will probably be on him. Guys like Carthwright and Lindsey have hurt us in the past.

Made the drive up from NC to in laws in Massapequa today for holiday visits.

I'll be there Thurs. Can't wait.

I saw SH game is Sun around noon @ Prudential, so we may stick around one more day to hit that game on way home.

Agreed , next this game. I got them splitting with PC in a 10-8 season in conf. If like you said, take both vs Pc. That would put us at 11-7 but cant have a slip up.
Maybe get two surprising wins and 2 slip ups, equal things out. 20 wins should get us in.
Just another w in the BE conf tourny to give us more of a chance to get in.
