We all love our team. We live and die by them most nights. For a lot of us this is our favorite sports team and they arent even professionals. But I dont know about anyone else and there isnt a wrong answer but when was the last time you were proud of our team in the sense that from coach to last man to assistants you thought they all left it out there and it didnt even mean winning big. For me this is the proudest I've been since Lavin's first year and to be fair there have been so many times I thought we were screwed. To our kids and staff I always root for you but win or lose you guys have something special

Great post.. Coach and kids play with big heart. Have to respect the effort, especially when they play from behind.

MJM you said it better than I can. Love these players, love this coach & AD and love the direction our program has taken. What is so satisfying is they all play hard even when they don't play well which is all you can ever expect.
More optimistic than I have been in quite a while.

A touching moment tonight occurred immediately after CMA and Willard exchanged a post game fist bump, CMA turned to his wife, took off his face mask and gave her a kiss.

He is not just coaching this team.  CMA is building a program.

CMA is authentic.  He is a good role model for his players, and all students at St. John's University.

If I hadn't made it clear in earlier posts: I'm thrilled CMA is our coach.

There’s a toughness to these kids...they are the BE version of the Bowery Boys.

tough and resilient

The word is BE wants to weight us with a 12 point hole to start each game.  Kind of like adding extra weight to handicap a race horse.  /media/kunena/emoticons/w00t.png

Wow then we'll have to dig out of a 30-0 hole.

I've read Lou's been watching from home. He must be very excited that his Johnnies are 4th in the BE.

The best is yet to come. Coach Anderson is just getting started rebuilding this program.
