Next time my kids are passed over for entrance to a prestigious university by students with ridiculously inferior credentials, or someone is denied a promotion simply because of a quota system, or I am robbed and beaten by people resembling vicious animals, I must remember to apologize, LOL.

My my my the white self victimization is strong with this one. But hey, if it makes you feel better to blame the miniority for your kids failing in a white supremacist society, shrugs!

Hey I understand you can't make it on your own without the government acting as Santa Claus to you every day. So believe what you want. And my kids will be just fine , your kids will just have to believe in Santa Claus.

My my my, somebody has his 4chan conservative points on par. Obviously you can't articulate a reasonable response so it's cool. But I rather use my NABA, NBAMBA, Haraya, Black alumni association, and my fathers black chamber of congress membership for help instead of "santa claus". Peace!

BTW: No kids yet!

Can't articulate ? I wrote about affirmative action, the quota system, and governmental dependency on handouts. All you could muster is "a white supremacist society". Which is Bulls**t. If you want to have a discussion you have to do more then the patent left response which is to scream Racist.

I read your credentials quickly and for a second I thought they included NAMBLA. Obviously I have a warped sense of humor lol

Okay, it's rare I talk politics on this site ( I understand the demographics here, but okay).

1) Your first point is on government handouts. Okay, you do realize white Americans ( particularly male Americans) have benefited from this the most right? You're aware that the following government subsidies were given to white Americans that led to the massive income inequality we see today.

- The USDA giving white Americans ( particularly male Americans) unfair subsidies in building their own farming communities.

- The G.I bill, which gave White Americans ( mostly males) massive access to higher education which led to a crazy trickle down effect in the inequality of races. That plus the universities that benefited from Slavery ( Georgetown, Duke, the Ivy's, SEC schools, etc) it's led to a " Structural " form of racial inequality.

3) The Wagner act, which led to a massive creation of union workers who helped move lower income Americans ( mostly white males) to middle -upper class lifestyles seemed to perpetuate another "advantage " for white working class Americans.

*It would've been nice to benefit from these programs, but the whole " Jim Crow" thing got in the way . I just find it laughable that white Americans would complain so much when they have been given so much. But self victimization is a mother******.

Part 2 ( in reference to affirmative action)

You trying to tell me that affirmative action for black Americans has trumped the societal structure in this country to the point that it has shifted power from white Americans to black Americans at a significant level? I doubt that, especially when legacy admissions is still in existence. Ironically for programs that were suppose to benefit African Americans, white women seemed to have benefited the most from it ( ain't that a trip).

And the white supremacist point, it is true. America has given white Americans every opportunity to advance in this country. Hence the term "white privilege" comes from.

my peeps weren't exactly welcomed here with open arms

Four years of African American studies = four years of hatred.
And all you can come up with are those lame stats, any ethnic minority could beat that.

  at you thinking four years of African American studies leads to a hatred of white folks. The ignorance is comical in itself. But as a person who minored in African American studies ( SJU doesn't offer the major), I can tell you you need help.

 just stop!!

Lincoln Quote on Slavery
August 1, 1858: On Slavery
As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is not democracy.

The civil war is complex, which is why we cannot reduce all Confederate solduers to racists and traitors. Even Lincoln would have oreserved skavery if it meant saving the union

Once we destroy historical relics, though, we can rewrute history to whatever pleases us.

Keeping the statues somewhere other than as the centerpiece of public buildings and parks and explaining their history might make more sense than their intimidation intent from a century ago.

Your suggestion seems to make sense, but how many statues exist?

Im not sure what the intent was. I was shocked a few years ago when visiting the quantico marine chaoel for a wedding that the road leading to the chapel was named for jefferson davis.

I thought the intent was to honor brave men who fought for the South but i will have to take a closer look

I've lived in the south and never gave much thought to any statues of confederacy. However, I don't think any statues relating to the confederacy belong in any of the northern states. They have a cultural and historical validity in the south.
That said, the method of the far left in this current cause du jour reminds me of the Taliban removing statues and monuments. Educated and cultured people should be above such tactics.
Could you imagine radical Italian anarchists demanding the destruction of the coloseum because it was used to sacrifice slaves and Christians? How about destroying the Pyramids because they were built by slaves?
What's next in America? Removing the Jefferson memorial, the White House because slave labor was used, changing the name of universities, streets, etc.
Will watching reruns of the Jeffersons and the Dukes of Hazzard be banded?

And here I expected a thread about Marvin Clark propelling through his academic career, but no....
