The team plays bored in these games. Just glad there is 2 more games of these type of games.
Then it's time to get real.

St. Francis is not a bad team. They are 7-4 overall but have won 5 of their last 6 and played BC very tough. They shoot a lot of threes (28 last game against St. Peter's) and go about 9 deep. Another team where we need to close out on their 3 pt. shooters, especially Jordan & Sanabria who shoot the 3 at 48% and 39% respectively.

They also seem to rebound well and block shots. This kid Evans had 18 rebounds for them last gamethat being said, ESPN gives us a 92% chance to win.

Yeah this team looks pretty solid. They're #197 in NET (out of 353), but more importantly they've been playing better recently.

Don't be fooled by their name, they're no cupcake. Very solid mid major.

Like Princeton, pretty good opportunity here. Need to stay focused the entire game.

Agreed, they have some size too in Joshua Nurse and Cori Johnson.

Youse guyz ah startin to scare me.

We will score on them. Offense will not be the problem. It will agin fall on the defense. We must rebound, force turnovers, especially live ball turnovers ( which enables us to excel in transition) and as always defend the 3. Keep them in the 30-33% range and we will be in a good position for victory.

If we have to stay focused for Saint Francis I can't wait for the pre game discussion for the Seton Hall game.

My take thus far in the season is that I have no take or feel for what we are and where we are headed.
Realistically and not theoretically - We can lose on any given night against any given team AND we can win on any given night against any given team.

My hope is that the saying “ playing up or down to the competition” is correct for our squad. We have certainly played down this far sans the Rutgers game.

I am a fan, optimistic but not blind to what I’ve observed.
We shall see.

Good post General. And that is the reason we are not ranked top 25. The BE schedule will be telling.

19.5 point favorites tomorrow and half the people on here are talking about St Francis like they’re somehow not a cupcake.

Take the points that way if you (don’t mean you sirvoo) lose the bet you can’t complain that we didn’t blow out a cupcake.

We’ve been terrible against the spread this year if memoery serves me. Would definitely be smart to stay away or take the points!

After three tough seasons that somehow was pleasantly overshadowed by the national headline week of first knocking off Duke followed up by knocking off then #1 Villanova down in Philly, let’s enjoy our perfect season so far.

A win is a win is a win. And we have 10 of them. Hopefully it will extend to 12 wins to start. Then let’s see what happens at the Rock.

It's going to be hard to cover when we trail most of the first half and are only up 4 at the break.

It's easy to become unfocused against an inferior team. You know this 72. This team for some reason always plays down to their opponents. That's why people are saying to stay focused. We always seem to ramp it up for the better teams. I know I shouldn't have to explain this to you. I think you're just a ball buster sometimes ;-)

Considering last year, this team hasn't the right to play one half ass game, let alone 8 or 9 of them. You can believe in the "playing down to the competition" only so much. So far, the games have been fairly consistent. Against our weakest opponents, we struggle to get separation and when we finally do, some have made a run to close the gap. Against the high majors of VCU and Georgia Tech, it took 2 Herculean efforts by Ponds to pull out come from behind victories. This all means that the team has to improve in several aspects to hit the top 5 in the Big East. They can, and may. But there are no nights off in the Big East. If you don't play hard and smart, and don't execute for 40 minutes every game, the losses will mount quickly.

I'm not too concerned. This team is much better than last year and we finished the year pretty nicely. I think you'll see the press a lot more in BE play, especially when Keita is back. We are nowhere near playing on all cylinders and yet we're 10-0. I don't care what people think of the schedule so far. This team has found a way to win and that's usually when they start working harder on defense. Why blow their load so early on against teams they no they can easily beat? It's a long season. I'm sure you'll see more use of the press and hard nose D when the opponents are more difficult.
