Colgate took NC State and Pitt down to the wire and beat Syracuse.  Considering we are still trying to "find" ourselves. This game does not bode well.  Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah but this is also a good opportunity to grab another. Q2 win before league play.  Gotta get this one done.

Colgate’s at 142 in the NET so it would be a Q3. Still a team that could beat us.

After their win vs Syracuse a lot of people were thinking this team is pretty darn good...since then they really have not played well. Perhaps that game was a flash in the pan. They are not a bad team, deep - play 11 guys, have a handful of scorers. We'll need to play well obviously but they are not a world beater like some may have thought about 2-3 weeks ago. This should be win number 8.

If we play tight on their 3 point shooters we will have a good game. Can't let them get hot.

You know our schedule stinks when we're talking about opportunities to grab a Quad 2 win.

Really sh!tty time for a game.  Going to have to figure out how to watch the Jets at the same time.

Im thinking watch the 1st half of the Johnnies game, then record the rest.  Watch half the 2nd half during halftime of the Jets and then finish the Johnnies game once the Jet game ends.

The Jets? Would rather watch paint dry!

NY Jets? Would rather be forced to go to a bridal shower!

Last week when they waited until 7:00 and the end of the days football I saw multiple posts about how  that was too late for people. Seriously. So exactly when should they play?

I think it is a good time for a game on a Sunday but I can relate to Duke's issue. I watch the Jet games because I am lifelong fan. It is what it is.

mjmaherjr wants to play Sensodyne instead of Colgate, I am not sure I agree, I heard Sensodyne players have nerves of steel.

Mr. Colgate is buried in Brooklyn’s Greenwood Cemetery - came here from Europe with his case of soaps & powders. The company and school arose out of his dreams.

holiday blessings

I have not seen Colgate play this season but I attend 2- 3 of their home gamers each season so I am pretty familiar with its men's basketball program.

Colgate's coach Matt Langel has done a nice job upgrading the men's basketball playing in the Patriot League Championship game the last 4 seasons, winning it 2 of the last 3, and making the last 2 NCAA Tournaments.

Langel recruits heady players that are not prone to mistakes, however in the past the Colgage generally lack the athlethism which a Big East team would have.   As a Patriot League coach Langel can award athletic scholarships to a recruit who may otherwise play at an Ivy League but whose family upper middle-class family does not qualify for financial aid at the Ivy, or the family does not want to write the hefty full load check to the Ivy, so the recruit choses Colgate, an almost Ivy, and attends on athletic scholarship.

This game will come down to tempo.

If CMA's team can make the game up-tempo then I could believe the Johnnies win big; if, however, Colgate dictates tempo then this could be another nail biter where St. John's is unable to put away its opponent.

I hope CMA comes out pressing Colgate from the start.

Watch the Jets (if you must) on your phone, while at CA watching the SJ game. Or record the Jets game (at the risk of damaging your DVR)
