Gosh, you read Dunlaps quotes, which is a great read on what we are doing well, where we are improving, and what needs work. There is no false pumping of the team, just matter of fact here's where we are and what we need to do to improve. I loved how he quickly referred to the failures, like 11-21 FT shooting, that could have turned this game. No whining about the refs, no self-serving quotes.
Dunlap is proving that he can be a very good head coach at this level. I'd have to retract a thread earlier I created earlier in the season that questioned his ability to lead this team. It's proving to be a very wrong assessment.
I liked Harkless' fire, which was really my point disagreeing respectfully about the thread "a loss being a win". I don't think Mo took any solace in SJu making the final score reasonable. I really don't want players thinking we played well enough, even though we lost.
Agreed with Dunlaps assessment of Harrison's progression, and prior tendency to fire up 3's in almost any game situation - fast break, plenty of time on the clock, huarded, unguarded, etc. If Harrison continues to refine his game, he will become an elite guard. Taking what the game is giving him is a big factor.
I hope Mo stays long enough here to improve the facets of his game that could make him a force in the NBA. If the money is there sooner than later, I wouldn't blame him for leaving, but if he stays long enough to improve his shooting, ball handling, etc, he could be a devastating player. Remember, just a couple of weeks ago, he was getting criticized here for a disappearing act. On pure athleticism, we haven't seen a forward attack the basket the way he does in a very very long time.
