#SJUBB guard Shamorie Ponds had an X-ray today on his right hand, according to his Snapchat story:
 
Fwiw, just heard he's ok. Don't give the points on Friday though. :)
 
Ponds will play Friday apparently, precautionary X-rays negative

 
I sure hope he plays. We really could use a good start and going to the game and seeing him not playing will be frustrating. Didn’t Lovett miss one of the games we should have won last year? LIU?
 
If this team has a prayer of a post season bid, they must be injury free all season. Harrison's injury in his senior year really hurt the team's chances even though they did get a bid. With a healthy Harrison (a wooden nominee before the injury), and a smoke-free Obekpa, that team could have gone fairly deep with a little luck.

Even if Pnds plays Friday, I hope the injury isn't a nagging one that bothers him for weeks or months.
