Poor Coaching

This is a poorly coached team. It makes you wonder what are they stressing in practice. Totally out of control team. Curbelo running wild. Coach’s instructions in the huddle are ignored on the very first possession. CMA let’s nothing bother him. Need a new assistant coach to game plan and run the offense.
 
Didn't he see David Jones chucking balls away or getting drives blocked? Didn't Anderson see it?

Why hand the PG keys to Curbelo? Why after playing your best basketball with Posh at PG?

I agree. You can't play Curbelo and Posh at the same time on the floor. SJ has talent but the wrong coach.

I agree. You can't play Curbelo and Posh at the same time on the floor. SJ has talent but the wrong coach.

Fans sometimes only evaluate game management. It’s really more important what is done on the practice floor between games. Mistakes must be corrected and disciplined in practice. Good practices carry over to the actual games.
 
Don't post much anymore. Graduated in 1958. Lived through the good years before the decades of crap. However, after tonight Anderson must go & take Cubelo with him. Cubelo is an undisciplined egomaniac. He just is not worth the risk reward ratio when he is on the court. This ends our hopes for a good year. So what's new?
 
Pitino would be able to coach this same roster into the sweet 16. I understand coach isn’t shooting the ball but the team plays so undisciplined. Any other coach would have Curbelo in the dog house tonight. We lost the game in the last 5 minutes.

He’s short on layups. The Curbelo experience with posh was break or bust.
Anderson said this was gos best team at Saint John’s. So the results lay at his feet. It’s time for a coach who el hold the team accountable amd value the ball.

If Pitino was the coach, Curbelo wouldn't have been on the floor.
 
It's been a while and someone like Panther would know better, but I think I recall Russ Smith being kind of a pain to deal with on the court and Pitino managed to reel him in. Don't think he was a jackass off the court though.
