I want to nominate and start a Campaign on this site and others to support our own Shamorie Ponds as BE Player of the Year 2018-19 season . And , also potential Wooden Award winner as Player of the Year . Many posters here have connections , knowledge and the credibility to help us promote Shamorie . He’s our Guy , Homegrown and he’s earned the respect with his play . During our resurgence in February and Shamorie ‘s fantastic play , many of the National Commentators and the Press were saying Shamorie was playing as well as anyone in the Country . And , it was true . Let’s get this Ball rolling and those who have the gear to advance this with Media, Other Coaches , etc . Please do so . I don’t have the leverage many others here do , to start this going and I hope you will help . Thanks , we haven’t had a Player like Shamorie in quite a while .
 
You become player of the yr by what you do over a season. See him coming back but he must continue to pay both ends(O/D) Also can not have too many games were he was not a factor. Just mo but he would do well waiting another yr
 
I think his long term stock rises if he returns for 1 more Season and has a great year . Most Scouts think he needs another Year , which is not a negative . He could have a Year better than Brunson this year .
