Ponds AP All American Honorable Mention

No way, no how last year; not an unrealistic goal for this coming season though.

Agree NCJ. Honorable Mention about fits for last year.
Hopefully, Ponds is BE POY in 2018-19 and maybe in the running for more.
We shall see and Let's go Johnnies!
And a Happy 4th to All Posters on The Board...!

One 2019 draft prognosticator on Bleacher has him going last pick in 1st round to GS.

Betting Shamorie may have a legendary year, given feedback from NBA teams and evaluators, the training he's done, the stakes for him to prove it on both sides of the ball, and the markedly-improved roster. Teams should no longer be able to double and triple team him.
Hoping for a winning, great and fun year for our Johnnies and a raucous and noisy and happy year for this Board...

I'm really looking forward to see SP play and see the results of his offseason workouts. Big year expected.
Will he be the Pre-Season Big East POY or All American for this upcoming season?
Should be a shoe in for the former I would think.

All of this doesn't really matter. He has to play his ass off to get into the first round, else he is just another college guard among many. Everything is aligned for him to do that. Better, deeper roster so he won't be ganged up on as much, and can let the game and opportunities score come to him.

I really don't care that he is in the conversation for All American right now. If he has a bang up year, his scoring average can go down if his shooting percentage goes up. Will be extremely helpful if we make the dance and win a couple of games that open some eyes.

Completely agree with the above. If he can get back to or a little better than his 2 pt and 3 pt field goal percentages of freshman year, that would be great, even if his ppg. goes down a bit. That kind of shooting coupled with better defense and continued improvement in assists and a strong BE season and NCAA tournament berth will go a long way towards getting him to his goal of playing in NBA. Just need to get MH cleared and we will have so many options on offense that Shamorie is bound to get much better shots than last 2 years.
