I read an article about them a few weeks back. The starters have a ton of experience playing together, so I had them filed away in the back of my mind as a March Madness spoiler. So much for that idea, since they might be one of those mid-majors that win 27 games in the regular season.

Lost by double digits. Second home loss ever at the Peterson Event Center. You deserve to lose when your arena is called an "event center."

Enjoyed seeing Pitt go down. But, I gotta say, I would love to some day have a 30+ game winning streak at CA. There's no reason we can't get that in years to come. We have the advantage of playing out "big" nonconference home games at MSG. CA games should be a lock. Not like what happened last year to the Bonnies.

Back in the 80s it was a lock. I dont remember how many games we won in a row, but it was a lot.

Pitt mostly had that streak partially because of "creative scheduling." Like when they lost to Tennessee last year at the Consol Energy Center (where the Penguins play) it was considered a "neutral" site

Yes it is nice that Pitt lost but remember they are still a very very good team> So would not take to much away from this loss

That was part of the Big East/SEC challenge and was not up to Pitt to schedule the game or the site.

Remember a lot of these games are played "near" the home of one of the teams. Syracuse played Florida at the St. Pete Forum not in Gainesville in 2009. Notre Dame and Kentucky played in Louisville not in Lexington last year.

Most notably, we played Georgia at MSG. Was not part of the season ticket.

That "tournament" is now played on home courts, starting this year.

Not sure how Pitt losing to a non conference foe is a positive for STJ fans? It only hurts STJ in the long run.

It doesn't hurt us in any way whatsoever. Our RPI/SOS will be fine no matter what Pitt does. Hope their losing continues.

HUH? They are on STJ's schedule aren't they?
