I haven't watched the RSR once since seeing the one where they spent half the show profiling our huge season opening W over MVS. They lost me right there.Paultzman post=461270 said:https://twitter.com/stjohnsbball/status/1499803344663105550?s=21

Obviously the staff (hopefully) knows more than me on this, but it seemed like he was right at the about of games to get the redshirt, and he hadn't played second semester until a recent appearance.stjohnnie75 post=461280 said:Rehobie post=461278 said:I think CMA has done Pinzon a disservice by not trying to red shirt him. I’ve heard that Pinzon did not want to try for a red shirt just in case Posh’s injury lasted longer. Was also told a medical red shirt was unlikely in his case as he played in too many games this season.

Was told unlikely but you might know better.
But Diakite did get a redshirt in his Junior year and played a total of four seasons in five years.L J S A post=461309 said:Obviously the staff (hopefully) knows more than me on this, but it seemed like he was right at the about of games to get the redshirt, and he hadn't played second semester until a recent appearance.stjohnnie75 post=461280 said:Rehobie post=461278 said:I think CMA has done Pinzon a disservice by not trying to red shirt him. But if it was the kid's decision, it's the kid's decision.
Just as long as we don't have a Mo Diakite situation where there were rumors that the staff forgot to apply for the redshirt.
Thanks, I stand corrected. I really thought I remembered some issue with him, but it wouldn't even be for a sixth year because he played too many games in each year. Although he barely played more minutes than I did at St. John's in his last year.SJU85 post=461363 said:But Diakite did get a redshirt in his Junior year and played a total of four seasons in five years.L J S A post=461309 said:Obviously the staff (hopefully) knows more than me on this, but it seemed like he was right at the about of games to get the redshirt, and he hadn't played second semester until a recent appearance.stjohnnie75 post=461280 said:Rehobie post=461278 said:I think CMA has done Pinzon a disservice by not trying to red shirt him. I didn't realize that Pinzon only came to the US as a junior in HS. Well spoken, generous in spirit young man, who may have a higher ceiling than even Posh.Paultzman post=461270 said:https://twitter.com/stjohnsbball/status/1499803344663105550?s=21
I believe that he would qualify for Covid related redshirt based on a limited number of minutes played.L J S A post=461405 said:Thanks, I stand corrected.
