I haven't watched the RSR once since seeing the one where they spent half the show profiling our huge season opening W over MVS. They lost me right there.

I think CMA has done Pinzon a disservice by not trying to red shirt him.  To me it seems that he does not trust him enough to give him minutes as evidenced by his two cameo appearances.  I suspect Pinzon is not happy with this situation.

I’ve heard that Pinzon did not want to try for a red shirt just in case Posh’s injury lasted longer. Was also told a medical red shirt was unlikely in his case as he played in too many games this season.

They B S the Kid.  With Covid there was a very good chance for a RED SHIRT  year

Obviously the staff (hopefully) knows more than me on this, but it seemed like he was right at the about of games to get the redshirt, and he hadn't played second semester until a recent appearance.

But if it was the kid's decision, it's the kid's decision.

Just as long as we don't have a Mo Diakite situation where there were rumors that the staff forgot to apply for the redshirt. . .

Was told unlikely but you might know better.

It was not a slam dunk, COVID or not.  It goes back to the amount of games played and when he played his last game.  NCAA has already signaled they were not giving extra consideration due to COVID when they rejected the proposal to allow players who were redshirting to play in games without losing their redshirt season if a team was short handed due to COVID protocols.

But Diakite did get a redshirt in his Junior year and played a total of four seasons in five years.

Thanks, I stand corrected. I really thought I remembered some issue with him, but it wouldn't even be for a sixth year because he played too many games in each year. Although he barely played more minutes than I did at St. John's in his last year.

Really liked what I saw from Pinzon tonight.  He crafty on the offensive end and has a sweet looking stroke.  Those shots will start falling once he gets some experience out there.  This kid has a bright future here.

I didn't realize that Pinzon only came to the US as a junior in HS.   Well spoken, generous in spirit young man, who may have a higher ceiling than even Posh.

I believe that he would qualify for Covid related redshirt based on a limited number of minutes played.
