Making up for basically locking Heron out of the game. He was fouled EVERY time he was inside the key. They can complain about the last shot of the game but they got away with a lot. It changed the game especially in the first half and meanwhile our whole team got into foul trouble. On one end Heron gets hammered. On the other they call foul on Clark for touching the ball handler.

My favorite picture is of several SJ coaches erupting in celebration and Mitch is juxtaposed sitting down and judging people calmly :lol:

I was sitting near this older (ok I am not young but he had to be about 70) gentleman and his wife who happened to be VCU fans. I never pay attention to other teams fans as I get you can get invested in the game. However, like Yukon fans from the past he whined on EVERY single call that went against VCU. VCU in this guys mind NEVER committed a foul. I'm talking about conspiracy theories about how this was a plot to give the game to St.John's. Personally I thought the officiating was horrible throughout and we had several phantom calls that went against us. On the final play, I knew we got away with one but frankly that was a fairly desperate heave. I never said a word to him but it was so satisfying to see him stomp out of Barclay on the losing end.

Watched game on TV and heard a fan yelling out "Puerto Rico" when our guys were shooting foul shots. Has got to be the same guy I heard in person 2 years ago down in the Bahamas when we played VCU. I asked him why he choose to yell that out and he said he didn't know he was just trying to distract the foul shooter. Weird.

Funny. Be cool to get an organized version of this where students shout out some weird phrase for each opponent free throw.

I always thought it would be really distracting if you could suddenly make everyone go dead silent right before the shot.
