For those on twitter I am sure you saw a whole bunch of photos the team took in NYC today. I am pumped for the beginning of the season to get here.
I would not be a true Redmen fan if I didn't question something about a player...
What does Dee's hand gesture mean in this photo?

The talk concerns me last year they talked a good fight, but came up short Hope we are not about to have a repeat!
 
Also saw on Twitter that the anti-Lavin crew had their photo shoot today in Times Square. Maybe Monte or Otis will put up a link this week? I heard Johnnyfan was a riot and chants of "NIT" could be heard in Central Park.

Is there a reason rysheed isn't on campus yet ???

If he wants to have any shot of getting drafted, he needs to do a tightrope act with his absences from the team. I can't recall a kid being away from the team so much. The transition from college to the NBA is exponentially more difficult than high school to college. You still get your hand held every step of the way in college. The margin of error for him is pretty much zero with all the talented PGs he is competing with that have no question marks.

Not to mention that he's not even appearing on any of the mock drafts at this point. I love his game, but hope he gets (and listens to) some counseling about when to declare. Selfishly thinking, his returning for a junior year would be the best thing that could happen to this team.

While I have mixed feelings, my hope is that he starts appearing on draft boards early in the year. If that's the case he'll most likely be gone at years end, but that will also mean that he's elevated his game to the point that we will hopefully be a much improved team. So I guess I would trade him leaving early for him carrying us(deep?) in to the tourney. Besides no guarantee that he won't leave after this year regardless.
