Great kid, great news. Like his teammate Jamal Branch, a low-maintenance team player who gave it his all. I was tough on Phil his first two years, but he won me over with his selfless hard play, hate-to-lose attitude, and a work ethic that elevated his game to a whole other level. (And I'll forever remember him for almost single-handedly crushing the Orange at the Dome last December.)

Phil had a really good senior year. Perfect example of a kid taking advantage of the opportunity to play at St. John's. I hope he kills it over there.
