Penn State, Sun. Dec. 18, 11am, FS1/970AM

Honestly ,who can you sat we can beat in Confrence I can not name a team Not saying that it is impossible for us to have a great game hitting 3s and the other team to play poorly but that is a heck of a way to get a win

I saw them play Duke and Cincy a few weeks ago. They remind me of a Norm Roberts team. They play good D, they play hard, and they play together. However they really struggle to score, and they don't seem to have any reliable option to go to with the ball when they need a bucket.

Pretty good matchup of our defensively challenged team against their offensively challenged one. Sort of the stoppable force meets the movable object.

If they remind you of a Norm Roberts team I guess their coach will be getting fired soon. :)

I'm sure Penn State will have their best shooting game of the year. And great scheduling by St. John's. 11am on a Sunday. Have to wait till halftime to be able to buy a beer. Even though your gonna be itching for booze 3 minutes into the game when Ellison passes the ball into the empty 3rd row and then looks at his teammates with his hands out like 'where were you?'

St. John's has little say with game times. It's TV. TV money pays the bills. Be creative and sneak some hard alcohol into the game. It won't go to waste.

ii Being in FL. I sure enjoy being able to watch the games on TV. Although I don't know if enjoy is the best word to describe my experience :)

You just used up our quota of positives for the month.

Lovett back and winning Sunday would go long way towards stabilizing things and putting positive spin on end of OOC slate. Be great to go into Cuse and start of conference play with kids feeling good about what would be our best win to date.

Also one of our most winnable remaining games period - every team in the BE but SJU and DePaul are currently in the top 60. Think we'll surprise in a few others, but beating PSU and sweeping DePaul would be huge in helping push win total perhaps towards 12-13 as opposed to flirting with not hitting double digits. Doesn't change much if anything big picture, but the latter would really not be good especially in light of perception discussion yesterday.

Agree, better optics, less fan angst & a ray of sunshine for players & hopefully recruits.

law changed a few years ago....beer can be served before 12 on a sunday now.....but does anyone know of any places open before 11?? ive called a few and seems like 11 is the earliest....both bars outside and places inside penn station...even roses pizza!!!!
also....with Lovett back this is a very winnable game....im not going to the game to see us lose....I am going to see a victory.....in Lovett I trust!!!!

Alibegovic posted a picture on Instagram of a knee brace on his knee with the caption "the return." Anybody have an update on his injury?

Sorry but a split is the best you can ask for against DePaul. They will be up for the potential Big East win.

There is a bar down the block from Brother Jimmy's (towards the front entrance of the Garden) that will be open at 11 serving alcohol. Went there before a game 2 years ago.

BTW Right next to Brother Jimmys which used to be Irish Times and then changed to The Thirsty Fan is now Tir Na Nog
