There's a "Hoops" Weiss article in today's Daily News about Tennessee's legendary coach Pat Summitt being diagnosed with the onset of dementia. Anyone who's ever had to deal with an aging family member or friend with dementia, be it Alzheimer's or a different type of geriatric dementia, knows how devastating this can be. Summitt, who's only 59, plans to continue coaching for as long as she can. (The article also mentions Dean Smith's ongoing battle with dementia.)

Agree with you 100% redken. My Mom suffered for about a year with the disease before her passing and it was very difficult, especially at the onset when the person is aware of the situation. Nothing but admiration for Summit and her willingness to come forward and talk about her disiease.
