Just a rant

Not a fan of our navy blue uniforms (or the grey ones).

We're the Red Storm.  Red and White should be most prominent.
 
I don't mind the navy unis, but as a "uni-phile" the little inconsistencies bug me. Our old school font is too thin, the numbers too bold and the contemporary "SJ" on the shorts out of place. At some point we need to figure out whether we're sticking the with Nike elements, the traditional stuff or something new altogether. Can't marry them all and hope for it to work.

I assume UA is waiting until we can put a team on the floor that might make a uni look good before they worry about outfitting us properly.

That said, complaining about the unis this year makes me think of the old line: "Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln..."
 
I like our Home Whites, Red for away, and I happen to like the StJ on the shorts. It gives us a Logo that is easily identified. I also have 6 polos with the StJ They're nice. I think the Logo is sharp. :) .
 
The STJ is sharp but it does get lost being on the side of shorts only.

I don,t think the sports marketing dept ever recovered fully from the first attempt at modern logo when we moved to Red Storm and the logo that came with it. Think about how many different uniform logo/looks the basketball team has had since then. It's not all because of Nike / UA sponsorship change.

The STJ brand logo, a few years back was a way for the school to try to get a unified sports identity that was modern with ties to the past.....good idea, yet we continue to muddy it up with old font and semi regular changes in other colors(blue/black/grey).

Baseball team too uses the old script on uniforms. Other sports only use new logo. Hard to unify when it's not consistently applied.

Stick with primary color of red & white (and if a must, just stick with a touch of blue or black but pick one only)...it's what identifies us.
