OSL Playing Through COVID-19

It made sense a year ago to pull the plug when no one knew anything about it, but we know enough now that it can be done with extreme precautions. And a school like OSL is proving that so far.

This is the key graf:

"The entire team lives together in housing owned by Our Saviour Lutheran church a few blocks from the school. This has been the case for a few years, but it was particularly important during the pandemic because it allowed the team to be housed in a makeshift bubble."

Was trying to find more on OSL to see how they got into basketball at a high level and saw this interview on their head coach and his background

then at end he mentioned how Posh was a game changer getting him as a freshman... and then saw an interview w/ him.

Between Posh & Wusu, so glad St. John's made inroads and could be huge for us with how the OSL guys are getting to shine..  With OSL, LuHi and maybe some renewed inroads w/Christ the King and a few others who like our staff and  our recruiting funnel could be great for a long time.

From the article, it also looks like OSL is sucking up some of the better nyc talent simply because they are playing this year when most others aren't.  Can't hurt that it's strengthening their program too during this pandemic. From all indications, with the OSl kids thriving at SJU, we must have a good relationship with them.
