Orlando Signs With Knicks

If someone lights a fire under this guy, IMO has the right toolset to become an NBA player. Unfortunately, it's hard to imagine him suddenly showing consistent NBA ability when he only showed flashes of being a good college player as an overaged senior at SJU.

Really think he was more concerned with auditioning to play at he next level then with being a good all around college player. Felt the same about Samson. Always felt he had the body and athleticism to at least have a cup of coffee with an NBA team, time will tell if he's got what it takes to have a decent career in the league.

Orlando and Jakarr signing are both surprising, didn't really see that coming. It does shine a nice light on the program. I hope they both do well.

How can you be surprised given all the accolades thrown their way by Marillac! :)

So, last year's team had on it two, at least at the present moment, "pros".
In addition, the team had
at least two additional emerging pro guards, admittedly one a freshman and a potential pro center.
So with all these imminent pros, we couldn't make the NCAA's?
good grief.

not to be a flame thrower but unfortunately with or all that talent and no NCAA bid usually would mean poor job by the coach.

Ya think? Hey, are you Realfan? :) :) :) :) :)

If Phil Jackson sees something in Sanchez it's likely that there's something there.

I think this is a great opportunity for Sanchez but I think the correct response is that given his body, and viewing some of his highlight reel, Jackson wants to see if there is anything there. Certainly given his nice ball handling and passing skills for his size, soft touch from the outside, and pro body, his lone college season was enigmatic at best. Whether he can do against pros what he did not do against younger, overall smaller, less talented D1 players remains to be seen. Getting this far means that like the little girl, when he was good, he was very, very good. But when he was bad, well, you know how it goes.

This reads like all the article's input came from his agent. While the Knicks need cap space in 2015-2016, the guys at the end of the bench will be offered only 1 year deals anyway. Also, with a three guard offense (Greene, Harrison, Jordan) did Sanchez play any guard here, or did he just hang out on the perimeter and contribute zip way too often?

The Knicks played 15 last night and Orlando wasn't one of them, has he been cut already? I saw him play a minute at the Dome.
