Well, the time has come. Everyone plays tonight to kick off their season. Here is a list of games that we may want to keep track of other than of course our opening night game against NJIT.

Xavier VS Northern Arizona @ 7PM (all eastern time)
Nova VS Lehigh @ 7PM
Creighton VS Central Arkansas @ 9PM
Marquette VS UT Martin @ 9:30 PM
DePaul VS UIC @ 10 PM

Minnesota VS #8 LVille @ 7:30 on ESPN

Minnesota got beat pretty bad by Louisville.

Xavier, Creighton, and Marquette coasted

Nova looked shaky in their win over Lehigh

DePaul escaped UIC 72-71.

Gtown, butler, and providence all play today

Not that anyone cares but UCONN was down 6 to Bryant at the half and came back to get the win. If that had been us vs Bryant (a bottom half NE Conf team), this site would be going nuts.

Yeah, but we're not coming off our second championship season in four years.

And uconn was missing players

Currently watching the Japsers play at Florida state. They lead 21-13 at the U8 of the first half. Just turned it on and am waiting for our buddy jermaine Lawrence to get in the game.

Yep. He looked rough, maybe it's good he spurned us for the Jasper's. Gtown won easily. Marillac's Butler Bulldogs playing right now

Darrick Wood
2 points, 1-4 FG, 0-2 3PFG, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal in 11 minutes in DePaul's 1 point win at home vs UIC

Albany 27
Providence 26

Halftime

Update: providence now leads 42-41 with 12 minutes left

Albany made the tourney last year.

But this would be an ugly loss at home. The conference can't suffer too many of these types of losses.

Down 1 U8. Let's hope they can get it together.

Yep. Not unusual for teams to have a shaky first game. Hope they win this. Just took 1 point led with 6 mins left

Update: U4 TO now. Providence leads by 1

Providence escapes 64-60.

Two takeaways

1) provience, much like us, are very weak down low, we could sweep them IMO.

2) Henton could very easily be big east player of the year

Assume you mean their centers, since forwards did super. They won, despite poor guard play which is their weak area. We certainly have an edge there. One game & predicting a sweep seems a tad premature Jack.

Not predicting it, just saying we could because I think we match up rather well. Should have swept them last year
