Oklahoma point transferring averaged 13 ppg.

 Oklahoma's starting point guard sophomore Calvin Newell announced that he will transfer after 1st semester to play closer to home in Philly. Newell averaged 13 ppg this season.

No doubt that Newell played against Nurideen in the playgrounds of Philly. I wonder whether St.John's will have any interest in Newell.

 We should. He's quick, a good shooter/scorer, and would be a good addition.. He was Oklahoma's second leading scorer. He could easily be a good prospect as a PG and would be eligible next winter. I'd be all on board for this one. He wants to be near home and Philly is real close. Would be a great pickup for us.

Both are over 1000 from Phil give or take.........I think the kid wants a starting role and it had little to do with being closer to home. Good pick up for UCF.
