Very, sad news.

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University says women’s basketball coach Kurt Budke (’BUD-kee) and assistant coach Miranda Serna were killed in a plane crash in central Arkansas.

The university said in a news release Friday that the two were on a recruiting trip to Arkansas when the plane crashed near Perryville, about 45 miles west of Little Rock.

Horrible news.

Didn't Ok State have a plane crash years ago that cost the lives of players and staff on the mens team?

I don't remember OK St having a crash like that. Maybe you are thinking of the Marshall football team in the early 1970's.

I don't recall it, either. But, it seems Moose is correct.

Ten men associated with the OSU men’s basketball team died in a plane crash in Colorado in January 2001
