Gee was the Chancellor at Vanderbilt for three years while my son was there. He would meet with students at their beer parties, bring them cookies when they moved in and was definitely not prejudiced against Catholics or anyone else and I got to meet him, and heard him speak numerous times. In today's society every word we say is scrutinized and examined and Gee, being in the high profile position he is in, just didnt dot his "i's" or cross his "t's". As far as Notre Dame is concerned, let's face it they have been the one school that has been the most selfish and I can understand what he was trying to say. Look what they did when they came to the Big East and the sweetheart deal the BE gave them. On top of that, and I have said this before, if they had let the BE schools play with their football we never would have seen the league break up and I am going back to the days of Miami and BC leaving. Even with the ACC they have their special agreement. So I am not crying over what was said about ND
