Couldn't have started better for Severino. 10 pitch first inning. If he's got his control, it will be a long night for A's.
 
Is it just me, or is Stanton A-Rod redux? Just don't like to see him up when we need a key hit.

Can these announcers be anymore pro-Oakland?
 
Well that was strike 3 in Stanton.

Part of me liked the old rule of not allowing teams from same division meeting in divisional round. Not sure I want to see Yankees/Red Sox in best of 5 as opposed to best of 7.

One of the analysts does Mets games, the other does Red Sox games. Plus, both guys played for Oakland, and one of them is a legend in that town. What did you expect?
 
Khris Davis gets Oakland within 6-2 with a two-run shot off Britton, but Stanton got one of those right back with a 443-ft moonshot (I thought it was foul at first glance).

Familia now in for Oakland, so the Yankees should really do some damage here.;)

Very happy to win this one. Hope we can beat the Red Sox. Bastin Saux Cache! Thought the first game was scheduled to start at 7:32:30.;)

I must admit I have really not been a Boone fan this year, but last night he pushed all the right buttons, and if he continues, I will be happy to say I was wrong and embrace him.
