Well for whatever I may think of Steve Lavin's x and o's skills I have nothing but admiration for the way he treats people.
 
It’s a good article. And Lavin is clearly a nice guy and mentor to the kids.

But it’s also a bit misleading in the sense that it says that Lavin “spent a month away from the team” during the 2011 season. His last game was in November - Dunlap took over from there, yet no mention of Dunlap's contribution that season, which was significant.

One has nothing to do with the other. He had 2 feet out the door bc Lavin can't coach and isn't developing him. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a good relationship with coach or doesn't appreciate his teammates.
