NY Post Article: Unfinished Business

I swear, half our fan base doesn't watch the games.

I agree, that in theory we should be competitive. But I've seen this team play together for 2 and 3 years now. What will be different this time?
The coaches are the same and the players are the same (or worse in some cases).

It will have to be in "very near future". Next year will be a disaster highlighted by a 3am game in Maui Classic against Chaminade in last place nail biter.
 
too much has to break right for us to be in the NCAAs and for St John's everything breaking right is something that never happens.

Whether we are leading for the top PG in the 2015 class only to have a juggernaut come in at the last minute and steal him after recruiting him for years....or Jordan missing a pivotal game against Xavier last year with the season on the line.....or DJ Kennedy tearing an ACL the game before the NCAAs.....getting shipped west as 2 seed and getting Gonzaga....Felipe Lopez being the greatest recruit in the program's history only to turn into one of the greatest busts ever....this can go on forever but id rather not remind myself more of what ive been exposed to as a St Johns fan my whole life.

I refuse to believe for a second everything will break right with our history of "luck"
 
I want the best for this team but the thing I will be watching most closely is the development of ADR. As one of our alums said, "You need that aircraft carrier in the middle". Big men with soft hands and good feet make point guards and wing shooters look golden.

Unless they match the host school with us in the first round so they can make the semi-finals.
