So he signed for less average money per year, the same guaranteed amount and lost $17mm sitting on the sidelines last year? Sounds like the guy needs new advisors. Hope someone is managing his money well...
 
Awesome signing...it's about damn time we get a serious offensive weapon in his prime. The Jets however have dug themselves into such a hole, even Bell isn't nearly enough. Adding that solid slot WR will help but we need another real WR like when we had Coles...someone reliable who can make the occasional big play. We need guys who get YAC. We also need a solid TE like most teams seem to have. If I'm the Jets, I get the best WR in the draft with size and speed in the 1st round. Go defense in 2nd and 3rd. Time to stop drafting nothing but defense in the first round which is by far the stupidest philosophy in the NFL. The Browns have had a good defense for a while but no offense. Now they have Mayfield, Chubb, Landry, AND OBJ. Offensive weapons are what got them out of their long slumber. Not defense. Sick of us kicking FG's at best and drafting defense...change the philosophy because it never works. We need to score actual TD's and make big plays. Ground and pound is so dated...you need to pick apart defenses with a franchise QB and then you can balance it with a good run game. The blueprint for a SB contender has been out there: franchise top 10 QB, good RB, several good WR's/TE, and at least a solid defense. The NFL these days is an offensive league and that's what has won almost all the SB's since I've been alive.

Priority #1 needs to be the offensive line, thats the real key to success in the nfl along with a franchise QB.

Paradis signing with the Panthers is a major blow. I don't know where they go from there at center. I guess the draft and Harrison is the fallback or dust off my man Mangold!
