There's a kid Nura Zanna who double doubled against us when we lost to LIU Brooklyn last year (you're welcome for that memory). He was a grad transfer and we did not reach out, I was told by team beat writer, because staff did not think he was good enough. He is now averaging 3 pts / 4 rbs in 14 min for a very good Houston team. Seems to me he would have been a perfect fit, and we didn't even talk to him despite him being in our own backyard and playing very well against us last year. Missed opportunity.

He would have certainly helped with our rebounding woes and would have relegated Alibegovic to a DNP role. His best attribute, especially on our team, is that he has never attempted a 3 point shot. Because of that attribute he did not fit into Mullin's complex NBA offensive scheme.
