Now that Lavin is gone

I would love to get the opinions of the posters in the know as to the REAL reason or reasons as to why SL was let go! A response from Paultzman, or Beast who I assume have some inside info as to the workings of SJU basketball would be interesting!

Does it really matter at this point? That is the past. We have a bright future ahead of us and that's what we should be focusing on. We shouldn't be caring anymore about what might have been. We should be excited about what could be.

Do we really need another thread that will eventually turn into a Lavin bash? Let it go.

IMO, not worth speculating about. Lavin did a lot of good for this program and I'll always give him a lot of credit for that.

I think the program wanted to make a splash and bringing home a school legend certainly accomplished that.

as elsa says , let it go !

I think he rubbed powerful donors the wrong way. That's what I've assumed for the past year or so.

The good news is that even guys who've been destroyed by Mullin on the court over the past 40 years don't seem to dislike him, so we're good in that regard.
