Nova Practice at MSG Today

Kind of smart. Wright doesn't want some of his kids to see MSG for the first time in a game that matters, considering they will be playing there several times this year including BET. I kind of wonder what it costs, but it's got to be a lot.

SJU cannot control what MSG does with their building.

And I am sure, like they have done on a regular basis in the past, St. John's has had a practice or two there this year also or are scheduled to soon.

Would be nice if we played more home games in MSG.

Around this time of the year in what became Lavin's last year, the team had a free, open practice for season ticket holders at MSG.

It was a cool event. We got to watch a few of their drills. They scrimmaged for 20 minutes. Coach Lavin spoke, and took questions later. There was an autograph session with some of the players afterwards (some of the players had to leave, to go to class). You could even go on a mini-tour of MSG, including the Knicks locker room.

There was talk that day about making it an annual event, but of course, Lavin was let go after the season. I'm a little disappointed that Mullin and Co. have not brought it back.

This was awesome, got to meet D'Angelo. He was superb.

1.82 thanks & I wonder...
Can't someone connected suggest it to CM?

2.And although at first I was annoyed w Villa at MSG
Then I reflected to hell w a focus on Villanova - ( or UConn or anyone else) let's keep our focus on us - our recruiting, our winning and getting on w our own program.

3.any observations in re recruits who attended our Midnight Madness?

if we won more, we'd have more fans, and with more fans we'd play more home games at MSG.

If it was open to the public, then I'm sure this was a well thought out marketing ploy by Wright to tap into the alumni base here in the city. And their checkbooks. So I would bet at the end of the day, if that's the case, they made money.
