Bill Self and assistant coach Kurtis Townsend have been suspended by Kansas for the first 4 games of the season for recruiting issues
Norm Roberts has been named the interim head coach during Self's absence
They will be playing Omaha, North Dakota State, Southern Utah and Duke during that time
Here is a portion of Self's public statement,:
"..... We are in good hands with Coach Roberts and I am confident that he will do a great job on the bench leading our team..."
