Okay so there is these so- called "non-football catholic colleges" and some of them have had a successful run over the past few years EXCEPT that non- football school that has a great basketball legacy and plays in the Big Apple. As many recruits and fans who do not resonate with Madison Square Garden, the Big city and our decent Queens campus - there are recruits and fans that are attracted to the atmosphere and facilities.

Let's see, let me warm my brain up and allow the basketball "neural pathways" (popular phrase in modern mental health times) percolate...
last two years 2014-15-16
Villanova 33-3/35-5
Gonzaga 35-3/28-8
Xavier 23-14/28-6
St. Mary's 21-10/29-6
Seton Hall 16-15/25-9
Creighton 14-19/27-8
Dayton 27-9/27-9
GTown 22-11/15-18

STJ 21-12/8-16

Now my fellow posters, friends and countrymen
I ask
ANY any practical, spiritual, and/or other reason why SJU cannot join fellow NON-FOOTBALL CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

We don't have to ask the shadow who knows for sure - I will answer that there is no damn reason we don't reach those heights
Effort Chris
Basketball acumen Chris
Recruiting Chris
Time Chris

Let's get on with it

(PS 1-2 decent recruits a year IMHO will do it and starting from scratch we do have Lovett Ponds and a few other sought after recruits - who many of us were glad to have such as Bashir...)

Not to nitpick SS&G but why not use the last 3 years? It's a rhetorical question obviously. Using the 2015 season is somewhat misleading. Every team you listed I believe has had the same coaching staff for the last 2 years. St. John's has not. I think you should wait until the end of this season, those numbers might be more telling.

Wasn't trying to be harsh, was just simply stating that we all know (unfortunate as it may be) that last year was horrible. The two years before that weren't (record wise). So I was just trying to say that lets wait & see how the rest of the season turns out. I'd love to say hello tomorrow, all of the Redmen.com folks that I've been have been great SJU fans. Unfortunately I would need a bit more to spot you LOL. I'll be one the geeks with cameras. :p
