No NYC for 2013 East Regional

Good. I never wanted MSG for the NCAA Tournament, because then, we would not be allowed to play there (though I understand that it would mean a ton of money for the school). 

Would have loved Barclay's, again, provided that we were not the host school.

Never understood why MSG would be considered. Also tough to execute with the Knicks, Rangers, BE Tournament, NIT, etc.
 
 We played Wake Forest in 1961 in the first round NCAA in the Garden. It really was no big deal at the time. In NYC, the NIT was still bigger.......wellll, about tied :)
 
Correct but MSG became persona non grata after the point shaving scandal. The powers that be blamed NY gamblers and mob connections associated with MSG as improper influence on immature college ballplayers. 
Hence the Garden was banned from further NCAA tournament games.
