3 games tonight scheduled for Naval carriers:

Syracuse - San Diego St. was moved to Sunday becasue of a bad weather forecast.

Marquette-Ohio St. was canceled because of excessive moisture on the court.

Most pathetic of them all, Georgetown-Florida was stopped at the half (with Florida leading 27-23) for the same reason.

All in all, a losing night for college basketball. Time for them to rethink these games, irregardles of their good intent.

Marquette's game vs. OSU is cancelled and G'town vs. Florida is stopped at halftime. The point of having these gamesome ships in front of our military is great. But two regular season games canceled because of condensation? You can't play and risk injury, but this wasn't planned for? What am I missing? Maybe the games should have been a little further South, but this is not a great start to the season.

Agreed...it endangers the players, makes it harder to hit jumpers, and therefore we have sloppy low scoring games.

You were quicker than I was. I totally agree. These were early season, but still big time matchups, and we all were cheated. That's to bad.

Of course, the Syracuse/San Diego St. outdoor game scheduled for tonight was moved to Sunday because of bad weather, and that game was scheduled to be played in San Diego. You don't get any better weather then you do there.

Basketball should remain an indoor sport, IMO.

Good point. I enjoyed the outdoor game with MSU and Carolina last year, but it's clearly not working as a regular events. Back indoors we go.

Have these people ever been on.a boat?

They didn't expect the deck to get slippery?
Why.do you think the term boat-shoes was invented?

+1

I applaud the purpose of these games, but they can honor them in another fashion. Do away with these games on ships.

there have been a couple of games at carnesseca that I think could have been called from moisture built up from the extreme heat of the crappy air conditioning also
