Great article about a young man who gets it. Extremely happy to have him on our team. This team as a whole is really enjoyable to watch grow on and off the court. We are NY's team.
He came through big time during hectic final minute of regulation time Saturday. Two quick smart buckets and fouled their guy to prevent the easy dunk. It saved a point as the guy missed the first foul shot. Unsung hero down the stretch.
Great article & great kid. We are so lucky to have. I regret making a couple of critical posts of his play during Saturday's game; got too caught up in the ebbs & flows. Usually try to make any negative posts of our game effort general and save specificity for positive comments. Will try to do better going forward.
NBADraft.net is my favorite sites to follow on where kids currently rank for the draft. They've been doing this a long time and are usually on the pulse, they are not amateur hour.
They currently have Heron #54 on their Top 100 Big Board and it was updated recently. That equates to a late second round pick. Would love to see him get drafted. Even if he doesn't, he seems like he is someone who could catch on as an undrafted free agent.

Very cool. They have him listed as the #34 pick in 2020. I think he could even squeeze into the first round in 2020 if he stays.
2019 would be a mistake. The class is loaded at SG an SF and there are just a ton of seniors that will get combine invites over him. I think the updates process will really help us it with him. If he gets a combine invite and goes undrafted he can return to school. Same goes for Ponds. That is a great rule and very fair to the kids and their schools.
Based on the quick shots we see on TV, he seems totally focused, determined and in control. Impressive young man. Hope he stays, but if he can get paid doing what he loves, grab it.
Very impressive young man. Interesting quote in the article that he will graduate after this year, and hopes to pursue a master's degree after that. It didn't say when the plan to start that was, and I still don't think he returns next year, but he'd have the option to start that here next year.
