........are getting a lot of playing time this year. Will they improve their shooting form on the free throw line? For players like Yakwe and Ellison it may be a long term project. Will Musso become as consistent a three point shooter as Max Hooper? I hope so because except for that scoring ability his value next year may level off. Alibegovic and Jones, if he is even back next year, should be 9th or 10th men on the team. In short, every player we will be rooting for and competing in the final Big East games this year and assuming Sima is done for the season, will be a supporting cast next year. Yes that means I do not believe, as others on the motherboard, that Mussini and Yakwe are or will be prime time enough to be starters next year unless recruiting goes south. In short, Mullin and staff need players on the floor that value the basketball, can shoot both from the field and the line and hit the boards. I expect Yakwe and Mussini to be the first ones off the bench. Owens and Williams are questionable wild cards. With Ponds and Bashir in the fold, the key recruit may yet to be signed. One thing is certain and that is this year we will be watching a Big East bench playing against much better talent and that bench will not beat any of these teams. In short, fans should hope our staff is recruiting over many of these kids because if they are not we will forever be Vincention cellar dwellers with DePaul.
