Thought I would share this article as I think it is close to spot on and didn't see it posted elsewhere. I would order the priorities for next in the following order:
1. Continuity - this is key. I am most excited about Mullin because he is trying to build a program. To take another step forward we need to have continuity and a bigger bench. I'm hopeful this is an off-season with little negative news. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the curse of us losing key players every year is over. We need to have 8 or 9 guys that can give key minutes next season.
2. Ponds - I rank him coming back next year 2nd because I think if everyone else comes back and we get a key transfer we could still be dancing next year. The team shouldn't be dependent on 1 player coming back to have a good team.
1 player can be the difference between a good team and a special team. The other 3 core players showed us that they have heart. With Ponds back and the core and the newcomers next year could be special.
3. Add Size - a big grad transfer would be a great get for next year. If Ponds comes back this would plug our only hole.
4. Help for Mullin - I feel like if 1-3 happen, then Mullin can coach us to a special year next year. He is improving but I think he could use help. Specifically getting the team to execute down the stretch - Jan was painful but they did start improving.
