New Zags Article on Mullin

Love the quotes
Especially love the last part about playing more at MSG
Great vision ... great dreams ...... can't wait to see the Mullin era begin

No mention of Sima and it is listing Henderson like he is on an athletic scholarship.

Henderson is 6'5 and he can play and shoot the ball and has a year with the team plus 4 years of eligibility. He won 2 state titles in h.s. and was offered by some big programs like Stanford, Purdue & Fl St as well as schools like Seton Hall and Dayton. ESPN had him as a 3 star recruit. I would not be surprised to see him get some minutes especially if he bulks up a little.

I'm very Pro Mullin. But lets be honest. Our local reporters can be bought with a Number 2 Happy Meal from Mcdonalds. lol

But I appreciate the good PR for the school :)

I agree, Paul.

Also, I had mention this before and it is purely speculation, but I wonder if Henderson is on an Academic scholarship? I believe the rule is that if we did not actively recruit him (not sure how this is determined), it would not count as one of our 13 athletic scholartships.

.....again, pure speculation.

Offers from Stanford and Columbia so safe to assume he's a good student.

"... plus newcomers Yankuba Sima..."

Sima was not mentioned in the original version of the article but Henderson was. In the revised/edited version Sima is listed with the newcomers and he removed Henderson from the area where he mentions the returning players.

So if we get them a gyro they will say we are in with Papagiannis? I will throw in a Deffara's pie for Mussini
