I thought we should start a thread about the other games going on throughout the night.
Seton Hall goes to Rhode Island and beats Providence in 2OT.
Depaul is up on GTOWN in the first half 20-13.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Xavier, Butler and Creighton up near the top of the standings. I think this new Big East conference really excites them.
What excites our team?
I know for several players it appears to be dunking the ball. I am sure they practice that way more than shooting.
Don't forget blocking shots.
Well Moose they lead the nation at 9.5 per game. What is so bad about that?
They look to block shots more than playing defense.
Some people would say that blocking shots is playing defense.
Salty the majority of our blocks are help blocks. Defenders get blown by and then someone comes over to swat the ball away. Problem is you can't do that all the time. And inevitably at least once a game we swat a ball right back out to a waiting opponent who drills a three. If your stomach is up for it re-watch some games. Trust me you will see that happen more than any of us want to see it.
Moose, you're right they do like the block but it is a weapon when other teams prepare. Certainly coaching staffs are preparing their teams to alter their game
when going against shot blockers. This has to be a good thing in some respects. Stainbrook made a nice hook over Obekpa but that may be a shot in his arsenal.
