Starting February 23, stadiums and arenas in New York will be able to reopen for sports and musical performances under strict parameters announced by @NYGovCuomo.

1.  Thanks for the info, Paultz.

2.  EVERYONE REMEMBER THIS IS A POLITICS FREE ZONE.  IF YOUR POST INCLUDES WORDS LIKE "LIBERAL" "CONSERVATIVE" "ANTI-VAXX" "WOKE" "TRUMP" "BIDEN" ETC. IT IS GOING TO GET DELETED AND THEN YOU ARE GOING TO GET A WARNING.  DON'T GO THERE, WE ARE BEGGING YOU.

Citifield is going to be rocking with that capacity crowd of 4500!

Who am I kidding, no way they sell out even under these circumstances.  And everyone is going to be online at Shake Shack anyway.

Since you could just as easily have 10 percent or less capacity in a 5,000-seat area, I wonder what the theory is. More overhead space in a larger arena to theoretically cut down on airborne transmission? More doors that will be left open to the outside air?

I understand the lines at Shake Shack.  Their vanilla shake saved me from heat stroke when the temperature was over 100 degrees at Citifield in a game against the Cubs some years back. I can't remember his name, but the Mets had a flame thrwoing right handed closer that was getting slapped around in the top of the 9th as the Cubs looked to erase a 3 zip deficit. The home plate umpire had enough and called a few pitches strikes that were a foot outside. Everyone but the Cubs just wanted to get in their cars and blast the A/C.

So we could potentially have a Big East tournament with 2000 people in attendance?

MSG announces they'll allow 2,000 fans at each game, starting with Knicks-Warriors on Feb. 23 and Rangers-Bruins Feb. 26

It seems logical that BE T would be effected in like manner. Ackerman will say something soon hopefully.

So BET, 2,000 Tix, means about 1,700 to be divided up among 11 schools, means each school gets 150 tix....

This reminds me of the old mega-Big East conference with all those teams when I would call St. John's and they would tell me, that after MSG and the press, admins, and others take their cut, from what's left each school got like 1,000 tickets or less, and so NO unless you were a big time donor they couldn't help you. Somehow I always managed to get into the games by joining RW Club, using friends at other shcools, scalping, whatever it took./media/kunena/emoticons/tongue.png

Our team is focused on winning and getting to March.    Any decisions will be based on that.   CMA is dead set on making the NCAAs.
