new MSG layout

Does anyone else hate the new MSG layout? Here are my problems with it in no particular order:

1. Long-time season ticket-holders got moved around, not necessarily for the better.

2. There is no longer a way to walk around the entire arena without going back into the concession area.

3. Although the new concession area is nice, it's nearly impossible to get to if you are in one of the upper sections.

i got moved and quite honestly, it was for the better. Same section, behind our bench, and a few rows down closer.

Agree about not being able to now walk around the Garden without going into the concession area. But let's wait and see what that new skywalk above the center of the Garden will be like.

I do like the open, expanded concessions areas. It made leaving on Saturday a lot quicker, IMHO. And the upper sections have not been remodeled yet, so maybe they will have some kind of easy access to the concession areas from the "blue" seats, or whatever they'll be called now.

dont like it at all and the seats somehow are smaller. I actually like the backless seats at CA better

I was moved closer down, and frankly, a big part of me wishes I was moved further back.

I'm in section 108, Row 5, seat 7. To get to the bathroom, I have to get past everyone's legs in my row, walk up about 10 rows, because the nearest entry point is about 10 rows in back of mine. Not to mention, that my section is nowhere near the men's room (though that's just a matter of chance). This is not good, as I like to time my bathroom breaks around the media timeouts. Now it's go before the games, go at halftime, or hold it in.

I will say that the concourses are nicer, and long restroom lines at MSG will most likley be a thing of the past. It's also much easier to enter and exit the building then it was in the past, though the escelators near what was the play-by-play bar, and club resturant, were operating after the game Saturday. Sometimes, this exit is closed after our games, and that makes congestion leaving the building much worse, even when we only draw 5,000 or so to MSG.

In the end though, I think I would have just gutted the Knicks and Rangers to the Meadowlands for one year, and done a full renovation of the place. The partial renovation looks stupid right now, as the upper tier of MSG looks like it just doesn't fit in. When completed, I think the arena itself will look very nice.

I'm in row 5, seats 5+6 in 109. I used to be in Row a with seats on the staircase in 74 i think. I could sprint to the bathroom in a timeout and be back in my seat before the timeoue was over. I hate having to climb over people in a wide row.

The only thing I don't like is that we went from isle seats to middle of row. Why do the rows have to be 20 seats long. it's so inconveinient getting in and out.

There is a bathroom behind section 107 I believe. Not that far from 108.

Yeah I went from aisle to the middle but also moved closer to mid court. I can live with that stuff. I hate that you can no longer walk around the Garden from the inside. That was such a nice perk.

We are at mid court also. Doesn't bother me that I can't walk inside, only leave my seat during game to get a drink or restroom and I can do that right outside my section now.

I got moved a few rows back from where we had been for many years but its not so bad. I'm stll at midcourt, near the tunnel but now I'm on the end of any isle and the bathroom is right behind my section.. And the concessions are right there too. When I first saw the seats I was upsed that I had gotten moved back but now I think its a blessing. The rows are no longer than they used to be where I am but they are tight. Its hard for people to get in and out without always having to get up to let people thru. And being on the end I get all that.

I got moved and no longer have my four seats on an aisle. Very disappointed in that.

I hate that since it so annoying to have to ask people to get up to let you out!! ARGH!

I thought the new food concessions were not so great, nicer looking maybe, but not the beer selection or for that matter even the food selection that they used to have.

So far my overall impression is not too positive.
