New CA Video System

Screw the video boards
Spend the $$$ to put backs on all the seats in CA
Or, better yet, level CA and build a real arena
I am tired of all these little fixes to try to appease fans
The arena was state of the art in 1960 but sucks today
Mid major programs have better facilities than we do
Ours, for a high major program, are an embarrassment

Until they pay Slice off they can't spend much.

I think we need to sellout CA before we can justify a new arena.
What size would we build?

They probably used the savings from Slice's per diem pizza money to pay for the new video boards.

For MJM, downside is it increases arena temperature.

"The historic arena..."

As we know, it was originally called Alumni Hall and then Carnesecca Arena or CA for short, and they might be some other adjectives used in conjunction with it but I have never before heard anyone call or refer to it as being "historic."

Maybe Slice will forego payment due in exchange for naming a new arena after him.

Yesterday I was asked by supermarket cashier if I qualified for their senior discount. I was a little defensive especially since I took so much satisfaction when last year in that same supermarket, I was carded to buy some wine. As you get older, it may be harder to deal with the fact that you are part of something "historic."

A lot of great basketball, coaches, players and history there. Not to mention probably some of the best pickup games of any college basketball campus. I'd say historic is accurate.

As I have said many times on this board, CA is a proverbial dump and an embarrassment. They should take a look at Stonybrook's arena, which is not great but makes our arena look like a HS gym!

You still can't look a gifthorse in the mouth. The new scoreboards will be nice.

I think historic is polite word for OLD.
