Thanks for this Paultz. I noted that guidelines state that the injury/illness "should be life threatening". Don't know enough about the facts in this case to know whether GH's mom's illness would be considered life threatening. Also given guidelines say "should" rather than "must" that would appear to be a consideration rather than a requirement. As you and others have said, have to think that GH's team took a pretty close look at their situation in assessing waiver potential before pulling out of draft and deciding to transfer.
