NCAA Tournament Thread

Doesn't matter.

Tightly called games, even fairly, were never going to be to our advantage. I was hoping that fighting through that and winning at Marquette in the regluar season finale would allow us to overcome that, but it didn't happen.
We'll need 10 guys with the same level of talent to play Rick's style.
In the 90s they'd get away with it, today the refs think that half the game is about them.

The future of the tournament has arrived . . . and it's a boring one.

When your biggest cinderella is BYU, football has won.
I don’t think it’s a football won thing. I think it’s the land of the NIL. Basketball schools should be in good shape because there is a 22 million cap for athletic departments for NIL next year. So not having football there is a good amount for basketball schools to use towards their NIL program

Was with my son in Providence. He graduated from Maryland in December and is working down there. He came up with me to Providence. He was disappointed Saturday but he watched the win over Omaha when he came in Thursday on television with me. First tournament win he ever saw. Don't think he saw the 2011 game but definitely remembers the San Diego State and Arizona State losses.

Happy for him that the Terps pulled it out yesterday. He has been to almost all of their home games since he got to College Park.

We can complain about lack of Cinderallas and too many state schools/oil money schools. But its unfortunately what the people want.
