Anyone see the Commitee that is picking the teams for the tourney... not one representative from anywhere near the Northeast. How they also let two ADs from the same conference on the committee I have no clue

Mike Bobinski† Georgia Tech Athletic Director

Ron Wellman Wake Forest University Athletic Director

Doug Fullerton Big Sky Conference Commissioner

Scott Barnes Utah State University Athletic Director

Judy MacLeod Conference USA Executive Associate Commissioner[1]

Joe Alleva LSU Director of Athletics

Jamie Zaninovich West Coast Conference Commissione

Joe Castiglione University of Oklahoma Athletic Director

Bernard Muir Stanford University Athletic Director

Mark Hollis Michigan State University Athletic Director

The NCAA should run a contest whereby the best bracket earns its owner a seat on the following year's committee.

Maybe the Georgia Tech guy will give us a few points for running them out of the Barclay's Center in the second half.

That is ridiculous. The overrepresentation of very weak b'ball conferences is unfathomable.

I was thinking the BE would get 4 or 5 teams in, but after seeing 2 members from the ACC on that list I fear we will only get 3.

It remains the same; it is about money and about the football conferences. It's not going to happen overnight, but slowly, bball only conferences, especially ones rooted in the NE will be whittled down. The makeup of the committee is pretty much what one should expect.

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory.
Much ado about nothing.

Unless they are using a computer I'm afraid there is much to do about this. People have their biased opinions - especially in sports.

Hopefully, the johnnies win out.

To think that a selection committee will purposely ignore basketball schools is ludicrous. For starters the committee has arguably two of the best ADs in college sports in Mich St and Stanford. Then you have the commish of the WCC which is pretty much BE light on the left coast. You have other non power conference commissioners like the Big Sky and CUSA. If anyone CUSA has been screwed over by the football greed and the trickle down effect of losing both football and bball schools.

I'm pretty sure a BE guy was running the selection committee when the league landed the record number of teams. We're all full of bias not to mention BS. In the seventies every hoops fan west of the Hudson river believed that eastern basketball was inferior to the rest of the Midwest and West. ESPN and the guys that put together the Big East put that in the past.

It is different now, but there's no way these guys are not doing the bidding for their conference brethren.

Sorry for messing up that reply. I guess I'm done for the day.

Bully.

I wonder how the WCC prez feels about the Big East after being passed over? He was a frontrunner for a while, no? I'd like to see a few more east coast guys from non-football schools to be honest. Beat Providence and it won't matter. Winner is in.

The fact you call me a bully is pretty funny. Pot kettle black if I ever saw :)
His name was mentioned. Along with a lot of other people. Do we know how serious a candidate he was? Also can't hold judges over every place you don't get a job.
